Please Help Our Friend, Amusing Bunni - Updated

I first met Bunni some years ago shortly after I finally gave in and got myself online. She was one of the very first people I met and we clicked immediately.

I quickly grew very fond of little Bunnikins and eventually came to love her like the sister I never had - that love has only grown over the years.

I even had a little hand in this.......

Kittehkins

That is why this is the most horrendously difficult, heart-rending post I've ever had to write - it's tearing me apart.

***************

Our adorable, beloved Amusing Bunni is having some very serious medical problems.

She has been suffering extreme pain for the past few months but, like the little trooper she is, she kept soldiering on and going to work, regardless.

Eventually it got the better of her and she had to go to hospital for extensive tests.

I'll let Bunni tell you the rest in her own words.......

"There is no good way to put this, so the cold hard truth is:

I was in hospital for 8 days, after all the tests, biopsies, bone scans, mri, cat scans, ultra sounds, etc. etc.  It’s confirmed I have 5th stage inoperable liver cancer, HCC.  There is NOTHING to be done to treat it.  I have been given 3 to 6 months to live.

So, I’m terminal.  There are so many tumors in my abdomen, and the liver is enlarged very much, they can’t operate, the tumors and blood vessels are too much and too close, they can’t do chemo, or NOTHING, so I just will be seeing palliative care Dr.’s for medicine adjustments to help with the pain, and then just get my affairs in order and wait to die."

Bunni is now in no condition to be able to work but she still has to pay her mortgage and other bills plus she's going to need help with her medical expenses and god knows what else.

We all love Bunni and now she seriously needs our help - any contributions you are able to make will be gratefully received.

This is Bunni's PayPal button.......

You can also donate at Bunni's own blog and at Zilla's.

Please Help

WE LOVE YOU, BUNNI!

+++UPDATE+++

For those of you who don't want to donate through PayPal for whatever reasons, you might perhaps like to contribute in this way.......

As with the PayPal contributions, all proceeds will go directly to Bunni's medical fund.

Thanks so much for all your help so far, folks, Bunni has been completely overwhelmed by your generosity.

THANK YOU.

This is breaking my heart, Odie.

It is all of us, Spidey. We've all formed a Bunni army and we're on the attack. I was very happy to see your post.

Thanks, mate - I've been in a daze since Bunni told me about this on Sunday night - this is the first day I've felt able to even talk about it.

I'm hoping to be able to talk to her tonight if they haven't tired her out too much at the hospital - this is her first day of palliative care.

Jngs, this is awful. Poor Bunni. I don't use Paypal. Is there any other way to contribute?

Barking Spider said...

I don't think so, Rosie - but it's really easy to set up an account with them - I did it quite a while ago and I use it for almost everything I buy online - much safer than leaving your credit card details with lots of different companies. Thanks for wanting to help - it means a lot.
I'm going to try and phone her now - she's just had another day in the hospital for the start of her palliative care and she won't have been back home for long - this is going to be one hell of a difficult phone call.

God Bless you, Spidey! You know I love you like the brother I never had too! I could never have picked such a wonderful person as my own family member. You are a Saint and the nicest, most genuine kind person I know.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this BEAUTIFUL POST! I will treasure it always. And I will never forget how you convinced me to get a cat when I was considering it! Without you, I would never have found the second love of my life....Kittehkins!

Words fail how dear you are to me, You know that, I hope, and Please don't be sad, you've gladdened my world in so many ways, and I cannot thank you enough. God Bless and many huggs and kisses are being sent your way, and meows from your little niece, Kitteh. TTFN, Bunni ;-)

It was the most enjoyable phone call, Thank you for getting in touch, it's been like we've been chatting for years! I enjoyed it so much. Thanks, Spider, I hope it's one of many.

Hi Rosie! Thanks for commenting. You don't have to be on paypal as a user, if you want to donate, you just click the button and it takes whatever credit card you use. You don't have to sign up for paypal to give.
I hope things are good out your way.

I love you too, Odie! The Army you, Zilla, Opus, Bob B, and so many of our wonderful blogging pals have assembeled on my behalf has cheered me up so much, you'll never know!

Spider: The doctors were very nice and reassuring, and I know with the pallative care, and home hospice, I"ll be in good hands, they are very helpful, and this is one of the best hospitals in the USA. PS: Talking to you somehow energized me, even though I was worn out when I got home. Thanks again for your friendship.

Zilla, you are SO special and one in a million yourself. I love you like a sister too, you have done SO much to help me, and you are so kind. You have made my time left worthwhile and much more pleasant that it would have been without your friendship, and that of all the other wonderful people on the net. I am lucky indeed.

Barking Spider said...

It will be, Bunnikins, I hardly knew the time going by while we were talking but we were on there for at least an hour. I'll be in touch again very soon. xxx

Barking Spider said...

I'm so glad I managed to help a little, Bunnikins, I will always be here for you.

Barking Spider said...

Anything for you, Bunni - always. ;-)

Bunni said...

You help a WHOLE BIG BUNCH, Spidey! Your friendship and love means so much to me and Kitteh too! If not for you, I would have never adopted a cat. I wish we were not living so far away, I would have given her to you, no question. Anyway, can't wait to talk again. I'm up so early trying to answer all the lovely comments on my blog.

Barking Spider said...

That's good to know, Bunni, I didn't realise that was possible.

Barking Spider said...

I would adopt that gorgeous little girl in a heartbeat, Bunni, and love her to pieces and spoil her rotten - you know I would. My concern is that the journey over here would already be very hard on her - and then there's the six months quarantine in the UK because of rabies - six months - multiply that by seven and that's how long it would seem to Kittehkins - it would feel like three years imprisonment to her. Do you think I could sneak her back here in my hand baggage - I would do it in an instant if I thought I could get away with it. ;-)

Bunni...I love you gurl...like with Spidey you have been a constant friend to me since I started here on the internet.words cannot express just HOW much that friendship has meant and continues to mean to me..so I am not letting you go without a fight..my thoughts, prayers and meditational energy are all directed towards you!
and by now you will have received an email from me about ways to fight..you pick that fight up my love....I know things will be tight for you over there at the minute so if you give Spidey an address then I/we will have some Graviola sent to you via Amazon or some such...help us help you darling, there is little else we can do from here...if I was across that F'in pond that lies in between us I would be banging on your door tomorrow and looking after you!
Stay positive and let us fight this thing till it gives up and leaves you in peace..don't believe that it cannot be done y'hear me!
As always sweetheart ANYTHING you need that I can do is yours for the asking K!

You're a gem, mate.

Amusing Bunni said...

Thank you Nom! I enjoyed your email and this lovely comment and wrote you back. I will check into everything you suggested. Thank you for caring so much! I agree with Spidey, you're a gem! God Bless you.

Amusing Bunni said...

MM, I'm so so sad to learn you lost so many loved ones to this dreaded disease. The dr.'s can't figure out how I got it, cause I don't do the things that might bring it on. Oh well, it's God's will and I will just rely on prayers and friendship to help me in this time. Thank you so much for caring, Luv Ya! Say hi to Simba too.

Barking Spider said...

I know what you mean, Bunni, the bastards would probably give her a damned good groping before they ate her, too! I'll be hard pushed not to chin them when I do go over to see you.

The other thing is that I would want little Molly to be able to have all her favourite things around her so that she at least had something familiar in her new surroundings - that wouldn't be so easy to do either.

Barking Spider said...

Thanks for your nice comment, MM, you've been having a rough time, yourself.

Amusing Bunni said...

You'll just have to come and visit her, and then YOU will be her favorite thing, she'll hugg your ankles and not let you leave ;-)

Barking Spider said...

I'm looking forward to seeing both of you soon. ;-)

Red said...

Great post. I hope Bunni receives a lot of help ;-)

Barking Spider said...

Thanks, Red, I hope so too, mate. ;-)

You're welcome Bunni, it is so horrible because you don't do anything to bring it on.. so unfair!! Simba says Hi Bunni and Kitteh, between you and me I think she's burried some catnip somewhere and she's keeping quite lol. I can't believe I planted catnip in my garden and didn't even know it lol great gardener I am and now Simba sees all the other cats off lol.. Seriously though I will be thinking of you and praying that it's not too painful for you x

Amusing Bunni said...

Thank you Red! The portrait is simply gorgeous, and so are you for your kindness and caring! Spidey, you are one in a Billion ;-)
